Despite being outnumbered, Medeama SC played excellently to defeat Legon Cities FC 2-0 on Sunday.
The 2023–24 Ghana Premier League’s Week 9 matchup between the Royals and the reigning league winners took place today.
Godknows Dzakpasu was shown a second yellow card and was given a red card in the 38th minute of a match at El Wak Stadium, bringing Medeama SC down to 10 men.

The visitors were unfazed by the loss and continued to play as a cohesive unit to upset the hosts.
A strike in added time of the first half from Mamudu Kamaradin handed Medeama SC the lead before the break.
The league champions scored in the 59th minute of the second half after a smash and grab play by Kofi Asmah.
Although Legon Cities would have their moments, the team could not get on target and suffered a 2-0 defeat at the end of the 90 minutes.
