The match offered few clear chances, particularly in the second half when Medeama had opportunities. However, the heroics of goalkeeper Lawrence Osei ensured that Hearts of Lions held on for a crucial away draw. He was deservedly rewarded when fans of the home side applauded and gifted him cash after the game.

This was the first time Medeama failed to score this season, after finding the net in their previous three games.

For Bashiru Hayford’s side, this marked their second consecutive goalless game and their fourth draw in five matches. Their sole victory came against Hearts of Oak in match week two.
