Andre Ayew completes move to Ligue 1 side Le Havre

Ghana captain Andre Ayew has agreed to join Le Havre in the French Ligue 1, marking his return to the country after an eight-year absence.

The former Olympique Marseille player most recently appeared in the English Premier League for Nottingham Forest, where he helped the club retain its top-flight position.

However, his contract ended, and he was unattached until Saturday evening, therefore he did not play for the team this season.

However, the 33-year-old was able to clinch a move to Le Havre, who saw the dynamic forward as an important asset in their quest to finish in a decent place at the end of the current season, considering their recent promotion from Ligue 2.

Le Havre introduced the Black Stars captain ahead of their match against Monaco on Saturday evening, emphasizing his value to the team with expertise gained from the Premier League, where he also played for West Ham United and Swansea City, as well as Fernabahce in Turkey and Al Sadd in Qatar.
