Kotoko suffered in the recently completed Ghana Premier League season, finishing sixth in the table.
However, the Ghanaian giants have already dismissed 22 players to make way for new additions before the season begins in September of this year.
According to rumors, Kotoko has made the young star a transfer priority and is keen to sign him for the 2024/25 season.
The defender, who has two years left on his contract with Bofoakwa Tano, has reached an agreement with the Porcupine Warriors to transfer.
Despite their relegation, the 19-year-old was a standout performer in the league and the FA Cup, as the Sunyani-based club reached the final of the Cup competition.
Ankrah is also on the wish-list of Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles.
