Black Avenue Music, Ghana’s foremost record label, is excited to commemorate its 15th anniversary, which marks fifteen years of excellent talent discovery, artist growth, collaborations, and the creation of some of the country’s most memorable songs.
Black Avenue Music, founded in 2009 by acclaimed Ghanaian singer and entrepreneur Desmond Blackmore, also known as D-Black, has played an important role in establishing Ghana’s modern musical environment. Over the last decade and a half, the label has not only produced numerous chart-topping songs, but it has also nurtured and launched the careers of some of the country’s most celebrated artists, including Dee Money, Joey B, S3fa, DJ Breezy, Freda Rhymz, and others, who have since become iconic figures in the music business.

Since its debut, Black Avenue Music has constantly created ground-breaking tracks that have defined genres like Gh Rap, Hiplife, and Afrobeats. The label is responsible for timeless masterpieces such as Tonga by Joey B, Echoke by Sefa, and Personal Person and Seihor by D-Black. These songs not only topped local charts, but they also propelled Ghana’s music scene to international prominence.
Black Avenue Music is more than just a hit-making label; it is also a creative incubator.
