Black Stars begin preparations for Mexico and USA friendlies with key players in camp

The Black Stars have started preparing for their forthcoming friendlies against Mexico and the USA.

Prior to the games, 19 players—including important players like Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Richard Ofori—reported to the team’s camp in Charlotte. Mohammed Kudus, a midfielder for West Ham, is anticipated to arrive on Wednesday.

Before the match against Mexico on October 14, they conducted their first practice at the Charlotte FC training facility. After the game against Mexico, the team will continue to train before taking on the United States on October 17 at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee.

Unfortunately, Tariq Lamptey, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, and Osman Bukari had to withdraw from the two friendlies due to injuries. Kingsley Schindler, Jerome Opoku, and Stephan Ambrosius have taken their places.

These friendlies serve as a warm-up for next month’s World Cup qualifiers against Comoros and Madagascar. Black Stars are ready to maximize these opportunities in order to perform well in the forthcoming qualifiers.
