Collaborating with secular artists is a door I do not want to open – Joe Mettle

Award-winning Ghanaian gospel artist Joe Mettle recently shared his views on collaborating with secular artists during an interview on Hitz 103.9 FM.

In response to a fan’s concern regarding why he hasn’t collaborated with rapper Sarkodie, who has indicated desire in doing so, Mettle stated that he and Sarkodie have discussed the concept and fully understand each other’s perspectives.

Joe Mettle further clarified that he prefers not to open the door to working with secular artists, stating that such decisions are guided by spiritual principles.

He mentioned, ‘When the spirit allows you to do certain things, it has its reasons. But until then, by principle, I avoid it. I have many friends, and if I do one collaboration, I’d have to do it for everyone else’ he shared.
