‘Dede’ gave me huge exposure and my first travel experience – Krymi

Henry Nuamah, better known by his stage name Krymi in Ghana, has admitted that his song “Dede” marked a turning point in his career.

Krymi claimed in a recent interview with CTV’s “Class Showbiz” that the song provided opportunities for his entire life and career, adding that thanks to “Dede,” he went to London for the first time and won his first award.

“It has opened so many doors for me, this was the song that brought many people to Krymi and when I say people, I am talking about the fans that have core love for an artiste.

“This was the song that made me travel the first time, my international trip to London.

“This was also the song that gave me my first award, Ghana Music Awards UK”, he said.

Krymi, his former Highly Spiritual employer, claimed that Kaywa advised him that he needed a hit song. This counsel, according to Krymi, prompted him to pray to God for a hit song, and fortunately he wrote “Dede.”

“Kaywa said to me that I needed a hit song, I had to pray to God that I really needed a hit song and it was that moment ‘Dede’ came to me and I put it together, did a voice and sent it to DaBeatGod.

“When I sent the song to Kaywa, he said this is what he was looking for, this is what I like.

He continued; “The song is not about women, I chose the Ga-Adambge name ‘Dede’ because it was indigenous and it fit into what I wanted to do.

I wanted my chorus to be simple because I realized at the time, songs that were reigning had very simple choruses so I decided to go for a simple one that everyone could sing along”, he added.
