Doreen Avio Adjudged “Female Media Personality” Of The Year At Africa Young Talent Achievers Awards

Doreen Avio, a Ghanaian journalist and TV and radio personality, was named “Female Media Personality of the Year” at the Africa Young Talent Achievers Awards last week at the National Theatre in Accra.

The annual scheme honors outstanding performance and contributions of individuals in academia, business, politics, entrepreneurship, civil society, and other fields in order to elevate the conversation at all levels. Its purpose is to recognize inspiring African creatives and personalities who are breaking stereotypes and putting Africa on the global map and market.

Mrs. Avio won the coveted Africa Young Talent Achievers award ahead of her fellow nominees, Victoria Smith and Shirley Irene Thompson. The honor is the latest in a long line for the celebrated Ghanaian on-screen personality, who was named one of the “Top 50 Most Influential Young Ghanaians” in 2022 in February.
