Afronation organizers have confirmed more names for the festival’s USA edition.
Nigeria’s Fireboy DML, Jamaican reggae and dancehall heavyweight Mavado, and Panamanian singer Sech have been announced as the latest additions to the franchise’s already stellar roster, which includes afrobeats artists Burna Boy, Wizkid, Black Sherif, Gyakie, BNXN, Beenie Man, and others, as the franchise makes its foray into the US market and continues its global expansion.

The festival has also added artists such as DBN Gogo and Kelvin Momo to their special Piano People stage, which focuses on the South African piano genre.
The Miami-based festival was founded to unite the diaspora in celebration of Black Joy’s return to Portugal in 2019. It will follow up on wildly successful installments in Portugal, Ghana, and Puerto Rico. The Miami edition will continue to feature some of the most prominent artists in Afrobeats, dancehall, hip-hop, amapiano, and other black-led genres.
Nigerian singer Burna Boy, who released his sixth studio album, Love, Damini,” in July, will headline the first day of Afro Nation Miami. Wizkid, another Nigerian artist, will be in charge of the second day. More Love, Less Ego, the singer’s latest album, has solidified his position as an Afrobeats tastemaker and the most-streamed Nigerian musician of all time on Spotify.
