Ghana’s first ‘foose’ festival ‘Obroni Wawu October’ returns to Accra

Obroni Wawu October (OWO) in collaboration with the Or Foundation and Kantamanto Market Community, is set to host the second edition of Ghana’s first secondhand (foose) festival on October 29, 2023 at Rawlings Park in Accra from 12pm to 5pm, with build up events earlier in the week.

“The Adeɛyie Resurrection” (to do better), the event theme for this year, is a celebration of Kantamanto Market as a global leader in reuse, repair, upcycling, and remanufacturing.

It also calls on all fashion enthusiasts to return to the country’s preservation-based roots, something that The Or Foundation hopes will inspire pride in Ghanaians.
