Hearts of Oak sign three players from Division One club

Hearts of Oak have signed three new players as they continue to prepare for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians announced the signings of Raphael Amponsah, Martin Karikari, and Evans Adomako from Division One side Asekem FC via their social media accounts.

The trio has joined the team’s pre-season camp as they continue to bolster their squad in an effort to improve their performance this season.

The three players are believed to have signed a five-year contract with the Ghanaian champions for 2020/21.

The new signings are expected to replace departing players such as Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Manaf Umar, Caleb Amankwah, and others, as well as supplement the efforts of the club’s current players.

The Phobians are working hard to make amends for their poor performance last season, which resulted in a 12-place finish in the Ghana Premier League and the departure of two coaches.

Despite the appointment of Rene Hiddink as technical director, the Ghanaian giants are expected to appoint a substantive coach soon before the start of competitive football in September.

They will play Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in their first Ghana Premier League match.
