Nigerian music diva, Yemi Alade has opened up about her approach to staying clear of controversies in the entertainment industry.
During the ‘Rebel Queen’ album listening party in Lagos, the ‘Double Double’ hitmaker revealed that she has managed to keep a largely scandal-free career, which she attributes to not allowing other people’s opinions to influence her.
Yemi Alade explained how she tackles negative criticism by simply rejecting it, saying, “I don’t worry about it (bad critiques) too much. “I’m just living my life because I only have one.”
“Once I see or hear anything that doesn’t resonate with me I look the other way and I keep it moving. Because everybody is entitled to their opinions,” she added.
With numerous awards and hit songs to her name, Yemi Alade’s career continues to soar. Her approach to managing public perception serves as an inspiration to many aspiring artists, highlighting the importance of self-assurance and resilience in the face of criticism.
