David Kojo Kyei, popularly known as Kaywa, an award-winning music producer, has revealed that he invests more than Ghc 100,000 in producing and releasing a single hit song.
According to Kaywa, the Ghc 100,000 budget includes production, videos, promotions, and so on.
Kaywa explained to Giovanni and AJ Sarpong on “3FM Drive” that video productions consume the majority of the budget.
“More than 100,000 for one hit single. (Between videos and promotions, which one takes most of the money?) Videos. Sometimes we can shoot videos worth 70,000. Sometimes, some people don’t understand the conversation. You put in a lot of money,” he disclosed.
The ‘Highly Spiritual. Music’ boss went on to say that even when there isn’t money to invest in a talent, he does everything he can to make it work.
“Sometimes, there is no money but looking at the talent, you just can’t allow it to go to waste so you do everything to make it work.
“It really is if you do it well. Check your streaming platforms and ask any artiste that does it pretty well, you’ll know that there is some great money coming in if you are doing it well,” he added.
