Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer/ song-writer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, otherwise known as Wizkid, has announced a break from music, and is now considering taking up sports for the time being.

The “Essence” hitmaker responded to a fan’s message urging him to release new music by revealing this in a series of photos on his official Instagram page.

The well-known crooner first replied to the post with an emoji of laughter before stating that he was on vacation at the time.

“Una papa dey holiday, make I enjoy,” he wrote.

The prominent figure in the modern-day Afrobeats music scene, to a greater extent suggested that he might take a 4 to 5-year break and explore other hobbies in sports.

Wizkid included football, golf, “FIFA hoe,” and “wrestling bitches” among his pastimes to partake in over the holiday.
