Lasmid Owusu Nathaniel, better known as Lasmid, a Ghanaian musician, has revealed that his colleague musician, Kofi Kinaata, inspired him to pursue a career in music.
The ‘Running’ Hitmaker has always been a fan of the ‘Susuka’ singer, as well as popular dancehall artists Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.
In a candid interview with Onua Fm’s Adwuma Adwuma Felicia Osei, Lasmid revealed that Kinaata left an indelible mark on him and other music fans.

In terms of how he got into music, the singer stated that Kofi Kinaata’s artistry served as a guiding light that encouraged him to pursue his musical dreams.
“I really like Kofi Kinaata and I like Stonebwoy too. They all have different vibes and I feel all of them. Before I came into the music industry, I looked up to Kofi Kinaata. He motivated me to do music.”
Lasmid further disclosed that he released a song titled ‘OdO Brass Band’ in 2019 featuring Kofi Kinaata due to the love he has for him. “I even have a song with him. I did my first song with him, ‘Odo Brass Band.’ It’s from 2019,” he said.
