Shatta Wale, the controversial reggae dancehall artist, is back in the news, and as usual, it has a bad reputation.
The multi-award-winning musician was supposed to perform at La Palm Royal Beach’s Uniland Festoval on December 30, but he did not show up.

His management, Sammy Flex, subsequently replied to the incident on social media by issuing a statement detailing the artist’s reasons for withdrawing.
The statement said unequivocally that Wale declined the invitation owing to the poorly arranged event.
The post went on to say that Wale canceled his performance because he had not received the agreed-upon advance payment.
