It took the visitors about twelve minutes to discover the breakthrough. Tapsoba had a chance to throw the ball into the open net after a mistake from Ghana’s defense, and he completed it with ease, quieting the boisterous crowd at the University of Ghana Sports stadium.
In the 27th minute, Laryea Kingston’s team increased their pressure and were rewarded. At the boundary of the penalty area, Joseph Narbi received the ball and curled one into the upper corner.
The match was still in the balance until Tapsoba scored a goal past Emmanuel Armah after a defensive blunder by Ghana.
After that, the Burkinabes managed to secure a spot in the competition final. Due to the outcome, Ghana has now missed three U-17 AFCONs in a row, which is devastating for Laryea Kingston and the rest of the squad.
