Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems took turns on stage yesterday to anchor afrobeats-themed performances at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game halftime show (February 19).
Burna Boy kicked things off with a spirited performance of some of his classics, including “It’s Plenty,” “Last Last,” and “Alone,” before Rema took the stage to perform “Calm Down” and “Holiday.” To close the section, Tems performed a medley of “Crazy Tings,” “Free Mind,” “Essence,” and “Higher” surrounded by backing dancers.
Post Malone performed his songs “Wow” and “Rockstar” for a crowd of fans before the start of tonight’s All-Star Game. For the latter song, he enlisted 21 Savage, who appears on the song’s original studio version.

Tems recently received her first Grammy nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance for the Future and Drake song “Wait for U.” She has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2023 for her work on Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up,” which appears on the soundtrack to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Rema made an appearance on FKA twigs’ Caprisongs song “Jealousy” in January 2022, and his debut album Rave & Roses was released in April. Burna Boy’s final album, Love, Damini, was released that summer.
