Messi was running down the field when Sergio Busquets spotted him, and the Argentinean helped Jordi Alba score Inter Miami’s second goal of the game on Sunday. The 36-year-old striker spotted his former teammate from Barcelona running down the left wing, and the 34-year-old Spaniard finished with precision.

The trio of ex-Barcelona colleagues worked together beautifully Sunday night to give the Herons a double-digit advantage. Alba scored for the second time since moving to South Beach, but it was his first in an MLS league game.

The goal gave Inter Miami a magnificent 3-1 victory over the MLS Cup Champions on Sunday.

Miami will now focus on Saturday’s game against Sporting KC after Sunday’s convincing win over LAFC, however Messi and many other players won’t be present due to international duty.
